On 24-25 September 2024, AIOTI organized its fifth annual event - AIOTI Days 2024 - to explore how the continuum and digital twins meet virtual worlds in the industrial space, creating a physical-digital virtual continuum. AIOTI Days 2024 featured the 10 Thematic and 10 Project sessions, a Hackathon and the Scientific Conference GIECS with 12 presented papers and more than 130 participants.
In the framework of this event, NEPHELE and aerOS projects coorganised the "Innovating in the continuum: orchestration, network, trust and sovereignty" workshop. The agenda featured discussions on innovative solutions like aerOS and NEPHELE, addressing topics such as meta-orchestration frameworks, real-time control, and trust management in smart grids.
Speakers included Dr. Ignacio Lacalle Úbeda (Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV)), Dr. George Agapiou (WINGS ICT Solutions), Prof. Christos Xenakis (InQBits AG), and Dr. David Raggett (W3C), and Harilaos Koumaras, PhD (FRONT Research Group | NCSR "DEMOKRITOS).
